Tanvir Uddin joined Rogers MacJohn as an analyst after serving as an Islamic Finance Fellow Associate at the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), where he was responsible for appraising investment placements and monitored and reported on >$260M of assets and performed due diligence on >10 transactions worth >$300M in renewable energy infrastructure and healthcare in MENA and Asia.

While serving as the Southeast Asia Enterprise Development Manager at the Clinton Guistra Enterprise Partnership in Jakarta, Indonesia, Tanvir led enterprise development, business case formation and investment pitches for the Acceso Indonesia $1.8M coconut sugar and $1.1M black soya bean supply chain social enterprises.

While a business analyst at McKinsey Australia, Tanvir supported numerous strategy, operational, and organizational change initiatives with leading mining, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare services companies, including a $1.5b mining transformation. Prior to McKinsey, he served as an associate secured transactions expert with the Asian Development Bank, where he reviewed the operations and effectiveness of secured transactions in Vanuatu and Solomon Islands. 

 

Tanvir has a Masters’ Degree in Islamic Finance from the IE Business School, a Doctorate in Juridical Studies, International Law and Legal Studies from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies, Economics, and Law from the University of New South Wales.
